Journaling reads: We avoided the big bridal salons when shopping for Evas wedding finery, concentrating on the boutiques in Pacific Heights and in the Marina. Nothing captivated us, but we had fun and Eva got a sense of what she didnt want. Sunday night found us at Bhldn, a branch of Anthropologie nestled into a corner on the top floor of the flagship store in Walnut Creek, and though Eva thought she had settled on the concept of a jumpsuit, she tried on a few gowns, too, and I dont know who was more surprised when two of them turned into serious contenders. Emma and I both cried at how beautiful Eva looked in everything and when we sat down at Gotts Roadside for burgers and wine, we found ourselves toasting everything. --2/25/18 Walnut Creek, CA

I jiggled the template as the first step in this layout, rotating the horizontal frames to vertical and sliding in the frame from the Artplay Palette behind them. I then pulled the template frames down the layer stack so my photos would interact with the stain and texture layers on the template. I clipped in my photos and then worked on the background: Solid paper #2 and then, for color, Artsy Paper #4 on color burn mode, and on top of THAT, for more color, Solid Paper #4 on vivid light.
To finish up I recolored the stains and spatters, and added a variety of transfers and overlays from the Artplay Palette including some enhancement to make the right side of the page suggestive of a dressing-room door. I also added several of the notebook brushes, stamped in brown, over the background papers. The fastener thingie at the top is white in the Artplay Palette but, when duplicated on difference blending mode, nicely turns to black.
