Journaling:
I could have spent all day in the Southwestern Jewelry exhibit. There were antique and vintage as well as contemporary squash blossom necklaces. There were kitschy tourist pieces from the heyday of Route 66. And remember the mid-50's silver and turquoise cover for a can of Skoal.
I love the way you've been presenting the folk art, jewelry, etc, just a few select pieces on a page, really makes the point well. That Skoal can must have been something!

I, too, love those laces and swirls in the bg. What stunning pieces!! Totally envious of this tour! Thanks for sharing.

I felt the exact same way at the Heard in Phoenix, only it was with the kachina dolls, hundreds of them. It's like you get transported. We hope to get to NM the year after next for a continuation of last year's Southwest road trip, and this place is definitely on the list. I really like how you're presenting the things you saw that moved you.

Love the framed Native American jewelry and texture. My thing is Indian Pottery. I've been collecting seed pots for years, mainly Acoma, the Lewis Family. I'm enjoying your pages!

fabulous, simply fabulous. i love your display of native American art objects. 20 years ago in Tucson at the swap meet you could pick up this jewelry for a song. today it would outrageous. i have an uncle's (?) silver/turquoise timex watch band. it was in my mother's stuff, not sure where it came from thou.

Oh, I would have enjoyed this exhibit...thanks for sharing these beautiful pieces...I love turquoise stones! You've achieved a lovely horizontal flow filled with subtle texture!

OH wow I love squash blossom necklaces. Every time I go back to AZ I want one but have yet to find that one - I would have spent hours there too! gorgeous and I love that background!
