Being near the water makes me feel most alive, hence this layout came to life.

Notes: A tutorial is coming out soon about using the Easy Curled Edges, so I wont get into that here and just let you know what I did below the curled edges.

Using artsy paper 1 and flipping it vertical as my foundation for the whole piece, I started to build up the layers. Starting with the travel big words and blending to Linear Burn, I placed transfer 5 and transfer 10 at the bottom right edge over the words. The words show through faintly.

Adding several brushes listed above, including brushes from the kit, placing them at the left edge and peaking out from the edges, using colors from the kit and photo. The tissue brush was used to extend the wrinkles in the transfer across the bottom.

I tucked in the flags under the curl and using a stain brush and clipping an empty layer above to the flags, I stamped the stain in that layer, using a color from the photo. That finished this page.
Love the blending and color palette and the stamp frame! Beautiful!

Oh my, this is a stunning scene. I can feel the sun's warmth, and a little breeze waving the banners. Yearning for summer, and water time after seeing this. Beautiful work! Looking forward to your tutorial.

Amazing, Barbara! Simply amazinglove the scene, the colors, the mixture of elements and the blending. That torn edge is inspired! (Oh, at first glance, I though it was one of Miki's series of beach art.)

Love, love, love those edges! Looking forward to the tutorial. This design is a stunner!

Stunning nautical art, Barbara! Love the intense color and how the flags anchor the torn edges! This is a wonderful example of the Rule of Thirds principle!
