I adore heritage photos, but didn't have any photos until recently. My wonderful Uncle sent me a packet of studio cards he found in a box. They're all of families from the St. Paul/Minneapolis area, circa 1880-1910, I'm guessing. He thinks they are relatives otherwise why would my Great Granny have them? Anyway, it's fun playing with them.

Process notes:
I used SolidPaper No. 1 from APP Remarkable as my background. I created a base for my photo by placing and merging several transfers from the kit together in the center of the page. I placed my photo, used a brush from the APP as my mask and clipped the two together. I duplicated the photo and set the blend mode on color burn, I then inverted masked some color back in on the left-hand side. I placed the frame from the kit over the other part of the photo and recolored it using the satin style. I enlarged the original photo, changed the blend mode to luminosity and ghosted it behind the center art. I then embellished with artstrokes, stitchez, and elements from the APP for added interest.
Thanks so much for looking.
