Journaling:
Remember how the sunflowers grew tall and had bright flowers where the junipers used to be. How they fell over and got in the way when you mowed and we planned to cut them down in a week. How we watched goldfinches enjoying the seeds, and decided they could stay after all.

I very much like your layering of things all across this spread. Incredible depth and super rich-looking. (Same thing going on here with the goldfinches and the amaranth.)

Oh I do that too! We have rosellas about who feed on grass seed and I always allow some grass to get tall and go to seed. And they always come for it. Beautiful page.
