Journaling: The year that the boys were born, Mark and I started a tradition of buying Christmas pajamas for each other each year. Well in the summer of 2005, I taught myself how to sew and decided to make our familys PJs that Christmas. Grandma A, Michael and Malinda would be visiting for Christmas, so I got this great idea to make PJs for everyone. I picked out three different Christmas plaids and I made full top and bottom sets for Mark, the boys, Grandma and myself and then pants only for Michael and Malinda. I guess I didnt realize the magnitude of this task...it was huge! Due to some problems with my sewing machine, I ran behind schedule and had to spend practically every waking moment sewing. I had my own little sweatshop going on in my office in the basement and I was still sewing away until late in the evening on Christmas Eve. I plan to make our Christmas PJs every year from now on; however, in the future my goal is to get started a little earlier!
