The Best Christmas Gift
Christmas morning 1949. I was 9 1/2 and my sister was almost 8. This bicycle was hiding in the coat corner, of our kitchen for us, along with a scooter for our 2 younger brothers. It was the biggest gifts we had ever been given. We were all so excited and loved our gifts. This bike was a bit of freedom for my sister and I, on the farm. These photos of me were taken the next summer. I loved that bike and we rode it for years.
