This was like walking into a magical tropical paradise. When Wendell saw that the temp was kept at 80+ degrees and 88% humidity he decided against going in. You go through a door into an air-locked type of room so the residents can’t leave and then pass into the conservatory itself. It was like stepping into Oz, just jaw-dropping with exotic birds, 100s of butterflies floating through the air, and stunning foliage. It was a phenomenal place to tour and one of the ‘gardeners’ was so friendly and had a wealth of information to share. On the way out we walked into another air-locked room lined with mirrors so we could check for hitchhikers catching a ride out. Yes, it was warm, and it was humid, but it wasn’t Minnesota, and I was a sweaty drip just walking around outside so I didn’t even notice.
