Ever since we moved to Maplewood Heights, nearly 30 years ago, squirrels have visited our back yard. Weve never tried to tame them, and do not feed them, except what they gather from the spill-over from the bird feeder. A baffle prevents them from stealing food directly from the feeder. Right after babies are born, there may be a half dozen or so, but within a few weeks, we are back to having just three. Always, just three!

I saw my first squirrel in a front yard in Germany. I was following it about trying to take a photo but it was too quick for me. The one I saw was reddish. Didn't realise there were so many species. Love it!
