Challenge #6 Extreme Drought

There was water in the ditch at the wildlife refuge, but not as much as the year before, and it had arrived much later, because only the rushes close to the waterway had started to turn green and everything farther from it was still brown. Without food sources, there weren't many birds.

Oh this is a sad message - I tend to not think about drought since we moved out of CA. Send the birds here to the PNW! I love the divide of this page !

I hope they get some decent rain soon if it hasn't arrived yet. It's heartbreaking.

Thanks. It's very sad, but we totally expect it to get much worse because of climate change, and never go back the other way. I hope we're all wrong, I really do. We see the northeastern part of Colorado never recovered from the dust bowl of the 1930s.

Sad. I'd rather see the water go to the refuge than to someone's lawn.
Nice that you have a little bit of hope in there with the rainbow.
Terrific title work.
