This is the last spread of my annual family vacation book before the closing page, documenting our last night together as adults (kids asleep, whoopee). I've not been posting every one of the spreads because of the repetition factor—our days were halcyon...wake up, mess around in the kitchen, mess around in the tides on the sandbars, do something or nothing, kayak, catch low tide on the sandbars, more kayaking, make dinner, eat dinner, drinks in the Adirondack chairs, and lots and lots of stuff with the kids in between. With an emphasis on the storytelling. Thanks for everyone's patience in following along with the pages I HAVE posted!
This spread is a combo of a Scenic Template Album page and a FotoInspired Page, which is something that runs throughout the album. Deciding on this combo before beginning this album really helped keep me on track and out of the weeds on design decisions. Hence my ability to reach home plate on a 42-page book fewer than 2 months after beginning.
The cool thing is that all the Scenic Templates and all the FotoInspired Templates work together seamlessly, so all my imagery was easily accommodated (over 700 photos to choose from). I learned all about the benefit of early decisions (as hard as they may be) in one of the aA album classes and have taken it to heart, and, yes, it has been a game changer, especially when doing projects that are long and time-sensitive (read taking advantage of the pre-Christmas printing sales when you have to print a bunch of albums).
