Combating the record winter snow fall in Maine by enjoying summer memories in the gardens!
Products used:
Plain background colored gray with various stamps, duplicated
AASPN_ArtPlayPaletteLoveStory_SolidPaper3.jpg, duplicated
AASPN Frame, but dont remember which one
Process:
Created a plain white background which I colored a soft pale gray and added some stamps. Added the bottom photo and adjusted it to fit the page. Added a mask to the photo layer and blended the edges of the photo.
Didnt like the gray background, so I duplicated it and tried various blend modes. Still didnt like it, so I added the ArtPlay Palette Love Story paper, duplicated it and tried the blend modes. The Exclusion mode on the top copy surprisingly changed the paper to black. While it doesnt show much of the blending or the stamps, I think that it sets off the flowers better than either of the light backgrounds. So I decided to use it that way.
Finally I created a rectangular shape mask, clipped the close up of the butterfly to it and added the frame.
Thank you for looking.
