Sophias Journaling: So our first day in Berlin we saw the East Side Gallery (The Berlin Wall). I felt as if I was taken back in time. The whole time I walked the 1 mile stretch of the wall that still stands I was thinking of how Germany was once a divided nation, and how a wall determined how you lived your life. It's quite a boggling thought. Every single piece of art along the wall depicts Germany's political values today, and how they will forever stand as one nation.

Process Notes: I will probably use APP Wanderlust throughout the album along with bits and pieces of other Palettes that compliment the photos as I go along. Metro Graffiti was a perfect compliment for the subject matter on this page.
Again, I didnt change anything on the second page of the template album and just went with it. Using solid paper 5 of Wanderlust as the background, I clipped the photos to the masks. I should also note here that I didnt do any blending on this page. Really nothing fancy was done here, its all Annas wonderful designs that did the work. Also, I didnt change the stain color, texture or tape around the fotoblendz because they just worked with the asphalt. I did change the color of the stain to blue next to the bottom right photo by using the Polygonal Lasso Tool to select that part of the stain.
Used transfers and overlays from Wanderlust and Metro Graffiti below the masks in the layers panel at the top and right side of the page. Then using brushes from Metro Graffiti and Different Strokes below the left side bottom photo along with a dripped stain at the top left.
Placing the dimensional elements such as the wire and nail at the top, button and button thread at the bottom left along with the label and another nail at the bottom right photo, finished the page.
Added Note: Sophia was standing on the east side of the wall, and yes, she realized that she was standing in an area where at one time, in the not too distant past, she would have been in danger of being shot on sight by the Stasi. I gives me chills.
