I came home with some
photos of mother's retir-
ment home and realized
every single car in the
lot and every single car
in the carport was beige.
Oh, the car companies
might have different
names for the colors:
Champagne, Shoreline
Beige Sandy Beach,
Gold Mist, Antique Gold,
Firemist, and Pewter, but
they are all names for the
same bland, boring color.

That's my bright red car
at the bottom. I could
never get a beige car.
I may never be able to
go to a retirement home.
I'm afraid everything on
the inside is as beige
as it is on the outside.
