Rogers' first movie roles were made in 1929.She made a total of 73 films and won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Kitty Foyle #1940#.In 1932 she was named one of fifteen "WAMPAS Baby Stars".Rogers was most famous for her partnership with Fred Astaire.Together,from 1933 to 1939,they made nine musical films.Friends of Ginger:Lucille Ball and Bette Davis(to be the friend of a lion!)She died on April 25,1995 of congestive heart failure.With Her,the dancers learned the dance was the best way to fly, leaving the earth.
