After learning more about the banana blossom, I wondered if we might find a Thai or Malaysian restaurant offering them on the menu. Or maybe we'd find them in a can at Pacific Ocean Market and try them.

Banana blossoms are just amazing! Remember I wrote whole stories about them from my Costa Rican trip. Nature just amazes me :) love the purple and green here

This is beautiful...and new to me. We lived in San Antonio one summer, and had banana trees outside our apartment door. I never saw blossoms like THIS! Beautiful watercolor splats.

Oh is that the cute 3 inch Thai bananas? They are so tasty. We had them every day for breakfast in Thailand. They cost 10c in the local market for 15 on a bunch! How crazy is that!! Will you grow a banana in your conservatory? We have bananas here in Perth but they tend to rot here which is strange as we don't have much rain - I think they like humidity which we don't have.

Love these pages, and the dotted brush behind the striped stem is so subtle. We used to grow these in our backyard, Florida lakeside.
