A quick partner page to my Rise Up page.

process: Began with background paper. Added a FotoBlendz & clipped photo. Placed hinged frame & clipped photos lightly adjusted with Levels. Leafy transfers were added to background. Extracted a leaf from my photo & created a cluster with notions & thread. Embellished with a few more notions & created title from wordart. Layers of Fotoblendz were recoloured & blending modes applied. Drop shadows added to notions & wordart. Finished with a white splatter transfer & my journaling.

Love the photo of the lawn mower! Also like the rotation of the frame and placement of the tree notion. I hear you about the leaves. I rake and several hours later there is another pile to rake again. Wonderful everyday documentation.

So much fun with notions! Ah, leaves. My hubby says he does not miss them! In Portland they would have "leaf days" - you needed to pile them out on the street, then they would come by with bulldozers, dump trucks and street cleaners. It was quite entertaining.

I like the contrast between the mysterious background image in misty grey and the colour photos, where the yellow and red of the autumn leaves predominate.

You made a great story layout from the lawn mower put on hold! I love the muted colors, with the bat flying through the sky it says change is here. Fabulous!

The leaves fall off the trees like hair off a cat - never ending.!

We had similar leaf days in Eastern Canada where I grew up. Not as many leafy trees where I live now but enough to make raking & pick up daily job.

Thank you! Haha, glad my husband bought the red mower. No real bats in my trees but I really wanted to use that bat notion. The storm skies were a little spooky looking too.
