August Art Journaling Challenge Week 2

Our Word Prompt for Week 2 of the August Art Journaling Challenge is Serenity.

I used one of my featured quotes by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and used our word prompt "Serenity" on my layout this week. I've used this little "wounded bird" once before, but this time, I added wings. My layout represents her metamorphosis from the sad little bird to the beautiful ballerina. The quote ties it together.

Oh Cheryl, this is stunning. I love the transformations of this. The wounded bird with her beautiful wings crying at night, sitting alone by the window. Transforms. Beautiful strong ballerina dancing in the sunlight and finding the courage to move forward day by day.How you blended this all together is stunning. I love the different windows, dark and sad and light and happy. I'm so happy youre slowly finding your serenity and peace. I am so honored to be here and share in your process.
