Process:
Although this ArtPlay and Transfer set have a lot of dark in them, they also have some lovely creamy lightness. I used the light papers and light parts of the transfers to create the background. The photo is clipped to a texture layer of an Artsy Transfer Aspera with lowered opacity.
The photo in the b/g is two copies, one in Overlay, one in Color Burn, both low opacity, with vector masks used to erase and blend.
Frame is from ArtPlay Palette Anew, set to Overlay mode with a light drop shadow. In fact I changed the colors of all drop shadows to pale gray to keep the softness of the colors. A LoopdaLoop was placed behind the frame, then Urban Looped Threadz were added to the side of the frame and between the bow and heart. (See the tutorial in this weeks AnnaNews on using these looped threads http://typepad.us2.list-manage1.com/subscribe?u=f350f3112f4a5df192ea8cc03&id=b3363f3485). Selective color adjustments were made to lighten the loop and threadz.
Depth of page is created with a key line, just about 2-3 pixels with a soft shadow (use the Rounded Rectangle tool with a large radius, 50 px. Select the rectangle , add a stroke on a new layer, then remove the rectangle if you dont know how to do this I will be happy to provide more detail).
Light from MultiMedia Stars was added on the lower left of the photo in Color Burn mode to give a burned edge, where I added some gold from APP Anew.
The This Life word art has a paper from APP Summer Breeze for texture, then a color overlay.
love the photo and creamy whites in the layout - also the loops under the bow. I have many photos like this of my parents and uncle/aunt and love the way you scrapped them, great ideas! .. into my favs!

beautiful framing. the work with the bows is lovely and i love how you've added the textures.

I think the textures make me think of silk gowns and wonderful days... They were all quite dapper in the day!!
