The Process
I selected an artsy paper from AP Sage for the background and began building the page. First I extracted the asparagus and created a custom shadow behind it. I duplicated the image and using the artistic filter created a poster edge image with the blending mode changed to soft light and reduced the opacity. I merged these layers and duplicated the image again, rotating it horizontally. I clipped an artsy paper from AP Sage to this image and layered several AnnaBlendz Artsy 5 masks over it for added texture. I then highlighted the image (Command + click on the icon in the layers menu) and created a stroke outline on a separate layer. The outline was moved the a bit so that it is offset from the image. I finished the page by adding a variety of plants from different kits, buttons, word art and several transfers from AP Jardinier and AP Sage.
TFL
ery attractive page with a botanical mark! We ate the first asparaguses of the season for Easter!

A very creative layout Miki, this would look great on the wall in a kitchen! My husband would love this with some hollandaise sauce of course:)

Love the extracted asparagus!! Such a creative layout, I totally agree with Linda. I love asparagus also (yummy yummy), but my hubby doesn't like them at all.

I love all the plants and their names, awesome extraction, love how you did the stroke outline and then off set it from the photo, awesome page!
