As I sat outside sketching my almost-pitiful lingering and darkening petals on my flowers, I noticed a slight change in the weather. I am ready for the squirrels to over-pack their cheeks, as they steal the birds' food, more than ready for the varmints to find their hiding places for a long winter and I welcome the cooler temperatures that Fall brings. I definitely am rushing Fall here in my mind. (I may or may not admit to having my Fall mantel done already.)
