AnnaLift: Dali's Perfection

Cocdoou's stunning lift art was my inspiration, only I went the quirky route. I found this silly picture of Salvador Dali as Mona Lisa and I knew it was my lift choice.

Phillipe Halsman originally created the photomontage, titled Dal Mona Lisa, in a collaboration with Dal in 1954. The image was published the same year in Dal's Moustache, another collaboration featuring some thirty-six photos of the artist and his famous moustache.

Supplies:
ArtPlay Palette Poppy

Process notes:
I used Paper No. 3 from ArtPlay Palette Poppy as my background. I placed my photo, applied a cutout filter, and added a red stroke as a frame. Since Dalis claim to fame was his melting watches, I used the warp tool to bend the watch piece from the kit. I added it to his/her head so it looked like a hat. Almost all the kits transfers were added around the frame as accents, although I did add a few on the left side to create some visual tension. One of Dalis famous quotes was the final accent.

Thanks for looking.
Love the red and warped clock! Interesting photographer and perfect quote.
