I love Marijke's fun elf inspiration design. It reminded me of my nephew at Christmas. My two nephews lived with me from pre-K to middle school. The youngest, who I call Goose, loved his Kermit. Kermit went everywhere with him. On our first Christmas eve together, he put Kermit in his stocking. When I asked why he did that, he said because Kermit was Santa's buddy and now Santa could tell him "hi." Kermit was replaced by Batman a few years later; but, apparently, Batman and Santa weren't friendsBatman never made it in the stocking.
