AnnaLift 04-06-2019-04-12-2019 "My Imaginary Family Tree"

What a fun lift! Christy's fab art as inspiration and an opportunity to create a make-believe family! I used a few of my vintage paper dolls from my collection...unfortunately, none of mine from childhood survived...played with all of them until they were limp. Thanks for hosting the challenge, Adryane!

Text/Fiction:
My nephews wedding was recently featured in Good Housekeeping Magazine! His lovely bride made her own dress and hand-addressed the invitations! I was hoping Emery would be the flower girl, but after meeting my darling granddaughter, the wedding coordinator declared she was too dimensional! Wasnt sure if that was a compliment or a rejection. Between you and me, I thought the entire affair was a little outdated and flat.

On the envelope, only my first name is accurate, the rest is fictitious.

Process:
Start with an ArtsyKardz. Clip multiple layers of the paper doll bride extraction to different layers of the ArtsyKardz. Merge all layers; clip to a Linear FotoBlendz clipping mask and merge. Repeat above steps for the other figures. Resize and arrange each figure on background paper.

Clip flower girl (merged layers) to stamp mask layer of MulitiMedia Document and drag all stamp layers plus blossoms onto layout. Place Paper Layer from MultiMedia Document under bridesmaid and clip her layers to the document layer.

Add various transfers and textures around the page for interest (Taped Textures and Paper Texture 3_9 were recolored). Arrange Envelope, elements, and WordART (create sticker layer, if desired) on top of other layers. Recolor and place Stains, Splatters, and leaf brushes to add color where needed. Finish with text and bow.
This makes me smile! I laughed at the "too dimensional" comment. Too funny. And I love your page design, the little flowers, and depth in the textures.

Hmmm, too dimensional ... sounds like they could have use a little dimension :) Love seeing your paper dolls on pages. You've created a most wonderful wedding.

such a cute lift, marnie.
love your paper dolls and your choice of colours. springlike.

J'adore c'est une trs belle page, de jolies couleurs et un mlange merveilleux avec les textures. Beau design.

Such a creative take on the lift. Love all these characters from the un-dimensional wedding. I am sure your granddaughter would have brought that much needed dimension to the affair. Too funny. Your bg is a wedding confection.

I feel so happy when I look at your page Marnie, I love the soft Spring colors, the sketches are so beautiful, the compositon is great, what a great wedding scene, the flowers and texture make the page very festive, what an awesome page.

Mr and Mrs very elegant, Marnie!
I really like the nice clothes! I like this lift page!

Love your paper doll family! Wish I still had mine, but they were well played with. Gorgeous page!

I am howling at the "flat" comment in relation to the paper dolls. Marnie, you've hit it out of the park with this one and your wicked humor! Add the "dimensional" comment about Emery and that's just the icing on the (wedding) cake. Take it as a compliment on behalf of your darling grand. Far better to have dimension than to be a cardboard cutout IMHO.
