annaColor: Life is Art

Now this is a color challengeusing 5 colors at the same time! I just finished reading the novel, The Muralist. The heroine is a young artist in the 1940s working for the WPA in pre-WWII. She's friends with the pioneers of early American Expressionist movement like Pollack, de Kooning, Krasner and a lover of Mark Rothko. And Eleanor Roosevelt to boot! It's a good read. While my layout will never hang in a gallery like theirs, it was so much fun to play with different transfers, shapes and colors. And to try something a little different than my usual.

Used APP Cosmopolis and other assorted transfers and brushes. Also used one of my Citra Art pages.

Thanks for looking.
Glad you tried it... sounds like a really good read also.I like to try different every once in a while..but you always return to your personal style,it seems. Hang this one in "your" gallery!!

What is your Citra Art? I think I missed a post...
Love the look of this page and now I need to read your book too!

WOW!!! It looks like it's hand rendered. You got the very best of both worlds.

oooo! You've inspired me to use one of my CitraArt pages. I'm getting into this sort of thing with my big toe...hoping I can improve. Yours is rich and gorgeous.

This is TERRIFIC! Lush and full and beautiful. Adoring the multi-layers. Will check out that book. And...if there are any small printshops in your neighborhood, and they happen to clean their rollers by running through old magazine pages or newsprint...ask for them! It's like double-exposure happy land with none of the Citrasolv hassle.
