Journaling:
We lost trees, including a 12-ft mugo pine, and the city added an extra tree branch recycling center because there was so much damage. The snow was so wet and heavy it was very hard to clear with the snow blower.

Super contrasting of the early Spring blooms and blizzard! Sorry to hear you lost trees :( When I lived in Colorado, people from other places thought it was strange when I said the Spring snow was worse than the Winter snow because it's so wet and heavy.

My son and new wife had their snowboarding/skiing trip pulled out from under them--cancellations one after the other from NYC into Denver. They wound up in Key West. Not so bad. We have Spring snows occasionally in NY and always lose lots of trees--the snow is just so heavy. Excellent documentation of Mother Nature's ways.
