Journaling:
Its crepe myrtle season. These trees are flowering everywhere in brilliant colors - pinks,
purples, reds. Its funny, I dont remember seeing these trees every year. Could it be they bloom more profusely after the rains of the winter? I think the first time I noticed crepe myrtles was on a drive to the Virginia beach towns of Chincoteague and Assateague. That was a long time ago in a dark period, but there is the pleasant memory of enjoying these Virginia beach towns dotted by the pretty florescent trees. I also remember there were crepe myrtle trees in the courtyard at eBay. I wonder if there are crepe myrtles in Portland? Probably not, as I think these are warm-weather trees. It has not been as hot. In fact, there has been Fog-ust most mornings, so that blue sky is real.
I never got to see the Hunderwasser house in Vienna, but wish I had. We simply ran out of time to see all there was to see Occasionally I find a picture of it on Instagram and save it in my travel file. I hope our next house is blue or green or orange or has a red or yellow or blue door. Im weary of desert neutral colors. Im ready for change.
