I was stumped for this color challenge; was quite surprised at the choice of a purple for the Pantone color of the year. I've never been much for purple.
I had no pictures or purple goings on in my life until I came upon this magazine while cleaning up a bookshelf. In it I found an article I'd written in 2004 talking about how to decorate with quilts made from Asian-inspired fabrics. I also made the quilts in the picture. That was long ago in another life (I stopped my quilt design business after ten years, too much work, although I still enjoy making quilts as a hobby). This was a very fun story to tell
