Journaling: One of the most amazing photos I have from my trip to Israel last summer is this photo of our tour guide, Hillel, bringing the Torah down from the Masada sanctuary. We were going to one of the outside chapels for a Bar Mitzvah. It was 110 degrees that day, but you would never know it from the look on Hillels face.
I imagine that this is how Moses looked when he brought the Tablets of the Ten Commandments down from Mt. Sinai. There is love, awe and a profound sense of responsibility in every part of his face.
It remains my favorite photo from my trip and one that I will cherish forever. Masada, Israel - 6/16
