Anna Lift - A Little Ray of Sunshine

I loved the linear design of ViVres beautiful and touching layout and I wanted to stick with that. There are lots of layers stacked and blended in my homage to her page.

Photos taken by my daughter Jackie of her sunflowers

Process Notes: Solid paper Sun fun 2 was used for the foundation to build my layout. Using the frame and mask from Sun Fun, duplicating it a couple more times and arranging the three of them across the page, then clipping the three photos to them, positioning and resizing those also. The middle photo is on Multiply blend mode and the other two on Normal Blend mode. On the right edge photo I clipped a Sun Fun overlay, resizing and blended it with Linear Burn. On the left side photo I used the honeycomb brush from the Palette using a color taken from the center of the flower.

I duplicated the middle photo and made it black and white and using a reverse mask I brushed in the sunflower, duplicated it again and moving and turning the copy between the second space of the color photos, both positioned underneath in the layers panel. Both of the black and white photos were duplicated again and the stamp filter was used on the copies and blended with Multiply with a reduced opacity. From there I duplicated the frames/shadows, resizing and placing those over the black and white blended photos.

After all that business was done, I placed the FotoBlendz Overlay 2 underneath them, resizing it and clipped the pattern paper 1 from APP Family to it and blending the overlay to Lighten. I got the leaves from Autumn LineART, recolored to green, duplicated and placed underneath peaking out.

In-between the frames and photos I placed Transfer 1 from the Palette and used the Multiply blend mode after resizing it. This gave the sunflowers a deeper, richer look. And at this point, I duplicated the first sunflower on the left and used the torn edge filter, blended it with Multiply, reducing the opacity to 32%. I also placed another transfer from the Palette on the left edge on top of the photo itself and blended it to Multiply.

The warm glow was placed in-between the first and middle color photo, above the black and white, resized and used Overlay blend mode.

Placing and resizing the title on the left above the first photo, I duplicated it, turning and resizing, and placed it on the right edge below the right photo. From there I placed the staples and jewel, giving it a drop shadow. That completes this layout.
this is so lovely, a wonderful lift! I can sense all the layers and yet the result is simple and clean, love that little embellishment!

Love: the dots...the placement of the word art...the bright colors...the few desaturated flowers.... Wonderful lift.

Love the warm yellows, horizontal design and the beautiful sunflowers! Sunflower perfect, Barbara!
