A sad and unusual event, but with a happy side (I hope you can read the story). You've seen my photos of this cove and the Palos Verdes peninsula many times - but this time with a poor beached fin whale. Fin whales are the 2nd largest mammals on earth. It is predicted to be months before we find out why the poor creature died.
The On Sale Twilight Zone Collection provided the perfect word art for the title and MultiMedia Magic Sprinklez for embellishments.
I used FotoInspired 3H for the double frame on the left, then a FotoMask duplicated multiple times and embellished with brushes for the large photo.
Background is ArtPlay Fabric papers and Transfers.
Large whale behind the title is from Jen Maddocks Oceanic (used to be at Oscraps), along with several "light" Transfers.
When doing lots of journaling I like to refer to Wordy Templates for text column placements.

Wow. These are amazing photos. Poor whale though. We've had beached whales, not his large, but its amazing how big they are out of water. I love how you placed the photos and used the large one. A very eye catching layout.

What a gorgeous layout! I love how you blended your large photo with your background! I also love the photos on the bits of notebook paper! I also love the little pops of red here and there! I am so sorry to read about the poor whale, though. Hopefully they can find out what caused it to die so, hopefully, they can prevent that happening to other whales.

A dramatic story to go with your large photo. I love how you used bits from the news story on top of your photos to draw attention to the main point of your story!

Thank you so much! Our Marine Wildlife Rescue organization is world-class, I am confident they will do all they can. They've managed to save whales before and they saved many sea lions and seals just in the time I've lived here.

I am usually lazy about opening the magnifier to read but curiosity got the best of me. We have had a couple of beached whales here in Maine. One was out on an island and had to be dragged to the Maine land and taken to an appropriate place for disposal. Just more proof that everything has a lifetime.
