I have the most fun and surprises when I start a page having no idea where I'm going :)
Featuring ArtPlay Verdure Collection on sale.
I combined pieces and parts of Artsy and Solid papers and Transfers to get what I wanted where (just making them all and using erasers and brushes to modify the clipping masks.)
Used a Verdure FotoBlendz on the right, duplicating the "blendz" part for greater coverage of the huge beech tree in our neighborhood. This had very colorful inflatable presents beneath it, which were fun, but I didn't want the color, so I did a selective Hue/Sat adjustment layer to desaturate the presents, brushing the tree color back in. Then "extended the tree (wrong foliage and scale, but I like the effect) with pieces of papers and transfers.
On the left photos clipped to frames, clusters, title (exactly from the daily prompt) and journaling. These are my beloved nieces and nephew, photos texted from my brother, who I don't get to see nearly enough :)
Beautiful tree and love the dark green background and how the red glows between the two pages.

I love the right side, what a great tree. Beautiful photos on your gorgeous pages!

Merry Christmas for you and your beloved ones! Christmas Tree

Cool use of asymmetry here...these tired eyes can't read the journaling, but I can see there's definitely a story. Love that tree!

I love your tree and how you made that part of the double pages a square. And the vertical typography in white. This might be my top all-time fave design of yours. You don't need all those templates. :D

Thanks! I really like this too, and I just happened upon it, no plan. That tree is a old and huge heritage copper beech, which fortunately cannot be taken down, else I think the people who bought the house recently might consider it. They're been tearing up the grounds for 6+ months now. I'm not a fan of messing with vintage properties.

This is excellent! The tree is perfect. The way you've used the twig as a fallen branch/root and the connection with the opposite page is wonderful. Love the placement and shape of the journaling blocks, too.
