Journaling reads:
"On December 19th, 2007, we decided to go for a drive up to the top of Pike's Peak.
We went up as high as we could go but the winds were so strong, a park ranger had
the road blocked so we couldn't go any further. We came back down and decided to
drive to the top of Cheyenne Mountain which is right next to our house. So we
drove, and drove, and drove but never ended up on top of any mountain that day.
The turn we were looking for must have been blocked by snow because we never found
it. But in a way, we're glad we didn't because we ended up taking a trip through
a beautiful Rocky Mountain Winter Wonderland that we might not have seen otherwise."
