Like Joseph, "held in chains and fetters" for 14 years, David who hid in a cave, Abraham with Isaac,; life brings seemingly contradictory challenges to God's love. "But those who wait upon the Lord, He will renew their strength." (Is40:31) Waiting on the Lord means to hope for and anticipate His guidance and blessings. It involves an active process of sinking our hope deep into Him -to submit to God's will and trust in His (sometimes invisible) goodness. This waiting is not passive; it requires patience and reliance on divine strength. The wait, the challenge is what gives strength. ." Lean not on your own understanding- ( insight) in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will (eventually) make your path straight". He has challenged me much, but failed me never :heartpumpred:

Standing O! I am speechless at this Layout. I know, I still find words, but man, this stopped me in my tracks. The journaling on the layout and in the description, :heartpumppink: :heartpumppink: :heartpumppink: So much truth. The ship and the setting sun peaking through is just show stopping. I love love love the anchor and how it leads up to the heart on the sails. Just the symbolism of the ship, the darkness, the light, the anchor, oh my soul! This layout speaks on a deep deep level and is just fantastic!!!!

Tracy, Thank you. I use AJ here often to process things. It's been a year since we discerned we both want to live at the Lake. The wait (because of the V.A..) has been really gruelling. Our hearts are NOT where we are- they've already moved. In our time together with the Lord last week, hubster shared the Ashes & Arrow's song "Keep Breathing". When I heard the lyric line "...my anchor's sinking down", I heard the Still small but powerful Voice say "Sink your anchors deep in Me". And then I began the page.
