This is a Native Australian Hibiscus. We planted 3 of these plants in a piece of garden between ours and our neighbours driveways about 3-4 years ago. They were about a foot high when we planted them, they are now over 6 ft tall, and make the best ever privacy hedge. We do have to trim them back occasionally to stop them overhanging the driveway too much, but they flower for about 8 - 9 months of the year and look spectacular when in full bloom.
