Notes on process with Photoshop Elements 14

I made a composite of my daughter and her partner, texturized them with the stonework and fan, flattened the file, and then moved it on top of a shot of a Manhattan street taken by my son on his way to work (the viewpoint is pointing his camera straight up, to capture the tops of the buildings). I altered the perspective of the buildings (image->transform->perspective) so that I could fit in the faces on the composite photo, using a lot of layer masks and blending modes to reveal and conceal details of both photos.

When everything was positioned, I added the Artsy Transfer to create the sky and texture.

I adjusted the color and added more texture with Artsy Papers--I dropped them midway in the layer stack on multiply at reduced opacity, then used layer masks to blend everything together. I also used a reddish adjustment layer to unify the colors, masking it away where it got too red.

My last step was adding the title, blending it in, and then the Cosmopolis brushes, transfers, and overlays. At some point before this goes into my daughter's album, I'll write the story and fit it in at the bottom.
Amazing art! You always have so much to look at and study! Love the title work!
