Stephanie's journaling:
What I consider one of my greatest accomplishments to date is not what you would think.
While I have achieved various things that others would consider successes,
I believe the most life changing thing I have accomplished is
learning to love and accept myself.
Not many women my age can say that.
I have learned to stop beating myself up for things I cant change about the past
and to stop apologizing for them to others because they are
part of what made me me.
I accept that I have made and will make mistakes.
Some of them large and others small, but I have also learned to love myself anyway.
After all, no one benefits from my wallowing,
and truly worthwhile people learn from them and own them.
I have learned to hold on tight to the truth I know about myself and to be honest with myself.
It has given me a precious freedom to live life with happy anticipation instead of fear or pessimism.
I have accepted the unconditional love of my Savior and that also has made all the difference.
I have peace that I am not perfect and I embrace that I am truly a "Work in Progress."
