For the
Hodge Podge Art Journal Prompt Challenge. This week I'm hosting, and I want everyone to write about something crazy or neurotic that they do. There's safety in numbers, you know! This is your chance to get it all out!
Journaling:
Where to even begin? My food hang-ups are epic, theyre the stuff of legends. Im easy to please in the food department as long as it hasnt sat out on a buffet. A potluck dinner might induce a panic attack, just a warning. Before family reunions I usually sneak through a drive thru, then pretend Im not feeling well so I dont hurt anyones feelings. In my mind its way too risky, the germaphobe in me cant make peace with it. But the crazy doesnt stop there, I dont like for any one food on my plate to be touching another food. Im a food segregationist! Oh, and I dont like to share. If you reach over to grab something off of my plate, theres a risk of being stabbed with a fork. Or when were out to eat with friends, Im the one who winds up offending someone because I wont try just a bite of their entree. Its nothing personal, its just that that kind of generosity is the type that would send me straight over the edge into crazy, neurotic-ville. Do I think you have germs? Yea. Sorry. Am I proud of the fact that Im a total nutjob? Not really! And leftovers? Dont even get me started - once 48 hours have passed I wont touch them with a ten foot pole. I love to eat - Im a food lover from way back - its among one of my favorite hobbies (and I have the hips to prove it!) But food issues? I have a few.
