This layout may be a little controversial. I could have done one about the controversy surrounding his life, but I chose to focus on his brilliance and the positive for the most part. Though my choice of kits may seem odd at best, it contained the paper and elements I wanted to portray/reflect this tribute layout. There is quite a bit of obvious symbolism in it:
1.The book with the question mark: His life seemed to be an open book, but was it? Did anyone really know who the man really was?
2. The lily on the book: 2 meanings, his passing and the reason it is over the book is that with his death, the book (his real life) will remain forever remain a question, as truly most peoples are.
3. The carrousel: A symbol of Neverland
4. The sequined glove: A tademark of his and also symbolic of his sense of style and innovativeness.
5. The clock, slightly faded: His physical time on earth has passed.
6. The hearts: Symbolic of his benevolence to charities and those less fortunate
7. Fireworks and star: Signifying the fireworks that went off when he hit the music world and the star, the rising starmeteoric rise
8. The chandelier: He may be gone, but his music and legend will love on.
9. The teddy bear: His lost childhood
10. His image in the cracked mirror: His troubled personal life, confused sense of self
