Process
A solid paper from APP Ludiosis was used as the foundation of the page. Artsy Transfers Ludiosis 4 was placed on the paper. The dress was extracted from a Simplicity pattern. The photo of me in high school was extracted and placed over the head of the pattern figure. A neutral color filter and color halftone were added to the face to match the texture of the pattern figure. A white "sticker" and custom shadow were added. The pattern image was duplicated, resized and duplicated to black and white. The TV was added and the Bonanza image clipped to a layer mask created to fit inside the TV. The page was completed by adding word art, dimensional embellishments, splatters and stains.
So Good!! Great memories to remember your first color TV, and watching Bonanza in color. We didn't get one until 1969, two years after our wedding. Love the Simplicity pattern picture with your face!
I also remember that we traded a black and white TV for a color TV, I was still young but what a wonderful nostalgic time!
Amazing desing with the lady's !
So fun, and what a great show of techniques. Reminds me of when Dorothy arrives in Oz. Good for you for remembering - best I can do is remember watching Wizard of Oz and seeing the color transition while still living in Newark, so pre 1965 maybe. Love that title work!
Brilliant story telling! I love your extraction of the Simplicity dress pattern. Great idea! Hmmm...I think I have a box of Simplicity & McCalls patterns hiding somewhere.
