As soon as I saw the name of this collection, A Land Far Away, I thought of heaven. Then when I saw the cool door transfers and other images in the collection, my imagination saw my mansion-to-be in heaven, and I knew what I wanted to create for the challenge. And when I think of heaven I think of a place shining bright with the Light of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To create that “glow” I made a shape to fill the door area and filled it with a bright yellow and gave it a luminosity blend.

Journaling is the Christian Hymn, In the Sweet By and By:

There's a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar;
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.

We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blest,
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.

To our bountiful Father above,
We will offer the tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love,
And the blessings that hallow our days.
