Journaling reads: Our first visit to Grandma and Papas in Ariton, Alabama. You were always such a delight. Your first flight on a plane, and I had to smile when we boarded the plane and you looked around in amazement saying wow mommy, there are going to be a lot of people at grandma and papa?, as you watched all the others board the plane. The sweet mind of a child - Just so precious. You always approached everything with such wonder. The toughest thing about this trip was your not wanting to take a nap, but that was easily remedied by a short drive exploring the surrounding area, which I took great pleasure in. You would fall asleep immediately, and I would enjoy the back country roads. Each and every experience was as special to you as the last - even the discovery of natures bounty was so awe inspiring, Everything you pick up was like gold to you. Such a joy to be around, I loved just watching you discover your world. I remember a thunderstorm approaching, and not wanting you be fear the storm, I jumped around excited to have the storm coming our way, telling you how great they were with the load noises and the flashes of light. I remember after putting you to bed, you came running out to tell me the storm was coming with great excitement on your face. We sat in a dark room, waiting, but it was just too far away. I put you back to bed, only to find you an hour later, asleep in bed - but asleep sitting up as you so didnt want to miss the beauty of the storm. You certainly drank up Grandma, Papa, aunt Carolynn and uncle LJs attention. You knew they loved having you there, and you hammed it up every opportunity you got, just drinking in their love. It was so amazing to me just how special you seemed to make everyone elses life just by filling it with the sense of wonder that you approached everything with.
