Journaling reads: You are going to meet LOTS of different people during your lifetime, some you will like, there are some that won’t be your cup of tea. Some of those people you’ll be able to avoid, others you won’t. I’ve had a couple of bosses who were mean bullies, the boss is hard to avoid, you just must do the best you are able to at your job. I know you haven’t liked all of your teachers; I didn’t like all of mine either, but we need to learn to get along with many kinds of people. In junior high, you can sometimes avoid teachers you don’t like by not taking their classes, which is what you did by deciding not to take choir next year in 9th grade. What a shame that would be sweet girl. Your brother had perfect pitch from the time he was little, you sweet thing could not carry a tune in a bushel basket, but you sure did love to sing. I remember you riding with us going on vacation, you had your headphones on, watching Frozen, and were singing Let it Go at the top of your lungs. I took a video of it, while grandpa & I sat in the front seat and laughed. Your mom went to college on a music scholarship and got a music and nursing degree. I remember her laughing and saying, “God wouldn’t be so mean as to give me a tone-deaf child, would he?” You’ve been chosen for the State Honors Choir twice; you had two solos in the Spring Concert and LOVED the student teacher you had. You were just bubbly after that concert, and you decided that next year you WOULD take choir. I’m so glad you didn’t sacrifice your talent because someone is not your favorite person. I’m so proud of you.
