Downtown Horses

It's funny the direction a page takes. This began as a page about my city's downtown train transit tracks. I stumbled upon the running horses photo and this page happened. Oooops, "I saw a squirrel (horse)" sums up my creative process some days.

process: Began with an artsy paper as a base. Added a fotoblendz - rotated it & rearranged layers to blend with background. Clipped my photo & further blending of FB mask to show all horses. Placed postage frames for more horse photos & photo of a special edition Canadian postage stamp. Embellished with elements, urban thread & an artist's quote. Wordart title was altered with a recoloured 'adventure' label from a different wordart cluster. Journaling is my own.

;) this is sooo good, and the rustic horses makes a nice companion to the collection. That is such a talent to create the delicate iron pieces in various colors and designs. Love your interesting journaling! Well done!

I love these horses, and I love that a creative process resulted in a wonderful page about street art. I miss the street art of Portland (of course LA must have tons but I never venture east, preferring my beach!). Love the blending and the postage frames!

Thanks @bcazzell @dwsewbiz ! I love visiting galleries & museums but seeing art in unexpected places throughout the city (& countryside) is really exciting to me. I have an inner city walking tour of murals on buildings on my to do list. Legs are healing so hoping I can do it in mid-September.

Happy to hear you're healing well! I look forward to your walking tour photos and layouts.

Love the row of horses. Are they made of metal and painted? Several years back the "big" city near me did a Horses on Parade art project. They were scattered throughout the city. The Freedom Horse is still standing near the interstate. Most of the others are gone.
