I think these are my favorite photos. Wed been on the beach a pretty long time. Cher must be tired, but she never gives in to it, not while shes on the beach. I knew we had a long walk back, so I wanted her to rest a bit. I tried resting on the nice benches, but there were some people nearby and she didnt like that. She did rest for a while in a place where I could sit on a log. Im OK with this. I will gladly sit on a log on the beach with my little pal for a long time. But she starts getting restless, like the sea calls to her. She really wanted to find some water birds to chase. Oddly, we didnt see any that day. But she did occasionally spy a stick in the waves that she thought might be a bird, so she was on the alert.

And then out of nowhere shell just start running, as fast as she can, and she is the fastest little dog Ive ever seen, chasing the waves, watching for birds, being the free spirit that I know is inside that troubled little head full of fears. This makes me so happy, I would have stayed out there all day with her. I love that I caught this picture with two, almost three paws off the ground. Ive sometimes managed to catch her completely in the air, my little flying puppy.
