This is a page from my daily journal, and I've posted it because I never seem to use Palvinka's freebies in my gallery, but always enjoy them so much on my daily pages, where I work around them with other notes and elements of the day.
The old truck doesn't get used much now, and Stone came in with a business card that was in it, asking if I remembered Capulin Volcano. (He didn't.)
So I made this about our trip 21 years ago and it's easy to understand how he had forgotten the last day of a 4,000-mile trip before the home stretch: old friends, two weddings— in the Carolinas and in Texas. And a birthday. We know he didn't get good sleep in those years he worked on the railroad. No wonder he forgot.
