These are not brilliant photos but the contents are priceless. I am the little girl in both photos.
Journalling: The Sunday drive happened on a fairly regular basis picking up Grandmother and Great-grandmother along with other rellies and either going to the beach or driving through the hills, stopping for a drink or an ice-cream. The little penny cones had the smallest of scoops and the drinks would have been lemonade and raspberry. The chances of the car boiling were sometimes eased by carrying extra water just in case, especially in the hills!
