May was such a busy month for us. May 1st was my day off. Ember and I went for a side by side ride. After work, Chad tried his new plastic welder on my compost bin I picked up for $5 at a garage sale. He did great and it worked perfectly. Later that evening, I got an email that my favorite digital scrapbook store is closing. I have been a loyal customer since 2007. It made me sad. On 5/3, I completed my potting station out of pallets. I love how it turned out! On Saturday, 5/4, we attended Logan and Claire’s wedding. It was raining on the way home and we caught the end of a rainbow. We brought Ember some dog treats from the wedding. It was a sweet attendance gift. On Sunday, 5/6, we went to Gary and Mary’s. Chad helped Gary clean out his gutter. On 5/8, I visited grandma Ann. I thinned out some of her Iris's and planted them in front of our duplex. She enjoyed visiting with Ember while I worked. Later that day, it rained a LOT! Chad wanted to see how the water was flowing so we can figure a way to mitigate it. On 5/9, Angie Stout came over to visit for a while. She brought Ember a new doggy bed. We were so blessed to see Northern Lights on 5/10. I went to all of the city wide garage sales in Albers 5/10 and 11. On 5/11, I planted a pecan tree. Later, we went to Mary and Gary’s to celebrate Mother’s Day. We went to both of my Grandma’s houses on Sunday, 5/12 for more Mother’s Day celebrations. On Thursday, 5/16, we attended Kaili’s graduation. The next day, 5/17, we went to Kendon’s 8th grade graduation. On Saturday, 5/18, I went to a few garage sales in Aviston. I met up with Lynn to shop. While Chad worked, I went to Haiden’s game. Later, we went to the kid’s graduation party in Carlyle. After that, we visited with Brad and Angie at Betty’s house. It was finally closing day on 5/22 for our properties. We now own 2 set of duplexes! I started painting the house right away. I love how it turned out! On Saturday, I worked on painting as Chad worked. Later, we went to Highland Speedway to watch Mike, Jake, and Aaron race. Aaron and Jake got 2nd place and Mike won! It was a great night! On Sunday, 5/26, I want to a Norwex party at my cousin Kelly’s house. I can’t wait to get my stuff! Later that evening, we got a very windy storm. It blew a bunch of limbs down that we had to clean up. On Monday, 5/27- Memorial Day, we started off by helping Dad clean up the branches and tree down at the Damiansville house. Later, Chad’s parents came over. Gary helped Chad fix the concrete out front and then they grilled steaks for dinner. On Wednesday, 5/29, Chad passed is driving test for his CDL! He has been working on getting this for months. I am so proud of him. I was off that day and finished staging the bedroom with the new decor. I got a “Duck for a buck” at Walmart. It was so cute! Later, we went to Markus’ ball game.
