We decided to spend the night in Everglades City and go back into the Everglades park early the next morning. The Park Ranger suggested two spots to stop at on our way to Flamingo Visitor's Center. We stopped at Mahogany hammock which are drier areas above the water flowing in the Glades. Right in the parking lot was a Red-shouldered hawk - the lighting was terrible but he was a cutie.
