the photos on these two pages are of the Saltstraumen - one of the world's largest maelstroms or whirlpools - more the 520,000,000 cubic yards of water try to get from one fiord to another through a straight that is 1.9 miles long and only 490 ft wide - because it is tide dependent you can accurately time when to be here. It was amazing!
